I agree with that in many ways.
But maybe it was down to the rather workmanlike nature of the rest of the team he was in - all good players by and large, but without the flair and ability of the 1993 team, especially after they were relegated and we spent all the parachute payment on Lee Croft. In 1993 we had Crook, Fox, and Sutton who could all change a game.
