The person that made me most cross going on about teacher's having it easy was Jeremy Paxman. I once heard him having a go at a teacher on Newsnight for only working from 9-3:30. Under that logic, he was only working for 45 mins each day.

Anyway, I don't feel the need to get defensive. I became a teacher because I love teaching not for the holidays. (Also I am able to use the considerable power and influence I have over 7 year olds to convert them to becoming Norwich City fans - as opposed to Chelsea, Man U Liverpool fans...)
