it's not all bad - had lots of family vacations there

once you get away from the 'downtown' areas, out towards Buckley AFB where it all spills out onto the plains, and down towards Cherry Creek, it's actually quite nice (as far as US cities go).

My folks lived there for 4 years up near the USAF base, though, so traded risk of shooting from rednecks to shooting from from passing F16s.

The Aurora mall is quite decent and not too near the rougher areas. The shooter will be some middle class nutjob.
