Usually, three or four. Sometimes as many as seven or eight if I've had to look at a lot of different reference material, or figure out how to fix something.

At the moment, four in Chrome (Wroth, the PHP manual, the application I'm building, and a page of UK Bank Holidays) and one in IE (the application I'm working on).
