It might not be just the amount of games players play in the Prem
Champions League, domestic cups etc but down to the intensity of each game. Generally games in this country are high tempo and physically demanding compared to games on the continent which are of a much slower pace.
According to the secret footballer the majority of footballers in this country are on pain killers or have injections before games so they can get through 90 minutes. Not good.
