The thing is...
the England players were tired; dead on their feet.
I think fitness, lack of it or whatever, is the bottom line. I don't accept that we are as worser at passing and moving than Italy as the stats suggest.
It was obvious to me that our players just couldn't last the pace; the fact that it happened so early in the 2nd half is worrying to say the least.
It was the same in the World cup as well (although we were beaten by a much better team, but our players just couldn't stay with the Germans).
Don't ask me what the answer is- I'm not a bloomin' expert, these are just idle observations.
