I agree - there's always a risk

But could you honestly say that if, say, Rossi Jarvis had been picked ahead of SC for the CM role, that we'd have been critical of the manager doing what we've been screaming out for for ages - using the kids? I'm not so sure - he was warming up in front of my near the snakepit and looked a decent size for his age. Certainly someone who wouldn't be overawed by playing against senior players.

I dunno - there's always a fine line between sticking with what you know and taking a risk with the kids, but it seems to me that worthy is afraid of the risk and that's frustrating. We spent all this money on the academy and for what? Shackell and Hendo? Is that all we've got to show for it? That's a shame. It's not a dig at them - they're both good players, but it would be nice to see some more come through.

If only we were in charge eh? We'd get it right. ;)
