problem with giving youth a chance right now
The thing is, giving too many acadamy players a chance now is too risky - as another bad performance will have the crowd jeering and baying for blood and could destroy younger players' confidence. I think that is the only reason Charlton is playing CM, as there doesn't appear to be an alternative (god knows what Jarrett is doing though).
I think Worthington made some fundamental errors in August when he didn't buy enough midfielders of the required quality. And now it is coming back to haunt him and it could cost him his job. I remember in pre-season - Charlton played CM and obviously did enough to convince Worthy that he was a real possibility in that position. Shame really!
Personally I think we'll beat Sheff Wed at home. But by god we'll need to produce one heck of a first half to get the fans on side.
