Maybe they want to continue working with Lambert
but don't necessarily agree that resigning was the right thing to do. Maybe they weren't as sure as Lambert about future employment. Maybe they have more respect for NCFC?
Whatever the reason though, you're right - they acted differently to Lambert which, in itself, is curious.
