It's not as if his performances were steadily improving either, his best game was his return against Swansea, from there on he declined.

It's okay, I think Lambert realises he's not good enough after dropping him for the last two games. Martin/Bennett/Ayala are well ahead in the pecking order, we will probably also sign a new CB.
