I'm fine with the decision
as long as Ward only plays when we are literally down to our last four defenders, I don't want him to come in for a long spell without reason, much like he did in that stretch of a dozen or so games that disrupted the end of our season.
We MUST also sign a quality CB who is ready to go and doesn't need time to bed in unlike Bennett and Ayala.
