He did have a long spell of mediocrity
but he seems to have found some of his old form this season.
Richards is far better than Jones on the overlap, defensively they're similar. The real crime is that Glen Johnson is going again, he's decent on the ball but can't defend at international level and I don't think England will be using 3-5-2 again any time soon, unless Hoddle comes back.
