Still think Hoddle was one of the best managers we've had
simply because he wasn't afraid to drop the big names. We need someone who picks the England team on performance not because of their name / club they play for.
He said Beckham wasn't mentally prepared - When he did play him, because the press and fans thought they knew what they were talking about and he got himself sent off against Columbia.
He left Gazza out because he was mental. He goes mental and destroys the room.
Any other England manager would make these decisions?
