The classic time wasting ring walk/intro for me is Naseem Hamed-Kevin Kelley at Madison Square Garden.

Hamed ponces about behind a screen for 5 minutes, starts the ring walk; Larry Merchant says "This may be the end of civilisation as we know it."

Proper hardcore poncing about.

Contrast to your average amateur fight night. Two in, names announced, fight, result announced, next lot in.....
