I'm not sure I feel qualified to judge
given that it was conceived as a mark of respect. I see respect and compassion where others see pigheaded, wallowing for whatever reason. Is it really such a big deal for everyone? Do you really care enough to challenge those for whom it really matters?
Additionally your 'get to work' line is a little disengenuous. It's because the tragedy happened during a football match (the worst in this country's history) that means the club and supporters don't want to be thinking about a game on that day of all days.
