Different era`s are hard to compare
football is totally different in terms of finances since 93.
No longer is a team of our standing probably ever going to hold it`s own against the elite in Europe.
No longer is a English provincial club ever going to win two European cups.
Surviving in the Premier league these days is massive in terms of finance and club security.
