Lambert is persisting with him though.
He was captain a couple of games ago as well. He must see something there otherwise he'd be on the scrap heap with Leon Barnett.
One thought I've had about Lambert though is that he gives players the chance to hang themselves so he can justify picking someone else. He's done it quite a bit looking back, most recently with Crofts and Johnson in that terrible Sunderland game.
