Difficult to compare

Promotion from League One wasn't as memorable or important as finishing third in 93.

But promotion last season was probably better than finishing 5th in 87.

I suppose, regardless of the outcome, a season is made up of its parts. The best seasons are the ones with the best games.

Maybe it's my age, but some games from 92-93 remain seared on my brain in a way that I'm not sure many from the past two promotion seasons will. Not sure why. Ok yes - it's probably age.
