Givens: 1) Lambert saw little chance to win the Cup.
2) Lambert has stated he wants to win things.
3) Smart man who has to know he is staying up.
Conclusion: He thinks he has a shot to finish 5th and get in Europe.
Best way for me to rationalize yesterday.
