Maybe there is an element of jealousy in it but for me the best football phone ins have always been hosted by fans rather than players (or maybe a combination of the two). 606 has never quite hit the heights of when Danny Baker used to do it. Nowadays when it is good its generally because they have Chapman or Fletcher reigning in Savage and not letting him just rant away about how footballers deserve every penny they get.
