the bit that stands out to me is...

1. Not having a back up plan, if it was considered to be an essential signing given that we were losing a striker as well.

2. The part where the player has signed a medical and signed personal terms, and is happy then and there for be unveiled as a Norwich player. Norwich have signed a deal. Bristol have agreed a deal...but have not signed.

Surely, you get them to sign or you pull out. If they're willing to agree to sign then they're willing to sign. If they don't they stuck with an unhappy player. Hindsight is a wonderful thing I suppose.
