Feels like in previous years, most clubs buy a player or two. Always with a few big-name moves.

These are the purchases so far this year, so far as I can see:

The Norwich (Howson),
Chelsea (Cahill),
West Brom (someone called Scott Allen),
Swansea (someone called Situ),
Everton (Gibson),
Spurs (someone called Falque),
Newcastle (Cisse),
Fulham (Grimmer (!)),
Wigan (Beausejour),
QPR (Onuoha)

Plus a few loons, obviously.

Feels like v slim pickings. But maybe you're right - just faulty memory on my part.
