There were three main problems here imo

1. There is no FA procedure that kicks in when an allegation of racial abuse is made - there should be
2. LFC failed to deal with the issue head on "we have zero tolerance to racism and will investigate this serious allegation, if found proven we will take necessary disciplinary action..." choosing instead to turn Suarez into a victim needing the support of his team mates and fans.
3. Suarez failed to acknowledge the offence his actions caused - if he were a tv celeb there would have been tear jerking interviews on Sky news with Kay Burley types where he would blame his ignorant rants on his lack of education etc. he could have donated a weeks wages to the "kick it out" campaign or summit and generally come out of this as a reformed racist and all round good bloke.
