We were never the best Test side, just the least bad / least bent. We had a few easy
series, worked hard and got a little lucky. Now Pak is clean, they're probably better than us, and Australia are improving rapidly. Let's see how we go in the next few years - if we stay competitive that will be a sign of a real improvement.
