Surely moderate wages with big performance bonuses are the future.

It promotes squad unity even when some players arnt playing.

If we do get relegated it doesn't saddle the club with a huge guranteed wage bill (where we would be forced to offload our best players just to get them off the books.)

The clubs that have been forced to do that have struggled to get back to the PL.

The bottom line is even if our cap was 30K, it still wouldnt stop a player wanting to go to a big club to get 80-100K per week.

As I said below if we can get a top 10 finish this season it gives us even more room to increase the cap next season.

The more we pay down our debt, the more room we will have to increase wages.
