I think there was a lot more to that story...........
Im not sure he ever intended to go to Burnley but without a doubt Lambert used the situation for leverage.
Got himself a better deal out of it.
Lambert was very vague but later claimed the press made something out of nothing yet he knew the huge speculation at the time but didnt knock it on the head.
