Yes I listened, I totally dont see he is putting pressure on the board.

At 1:51 he said "we can only do what we can do". comparing us to QPR who will have mega millions to spend. (its just a reality we cant compete)

At the end he fully admitted that its tough to get players in with our wage cap but he also realizes that its a dangerous road.
Breaking the cap upsets all the players you already have here.
That could be a f**king disaster as squad unity looks to be one of our greatest strengths.

Any manager wants the best players in the world he can get.
Im guessing after 2 years of dominating most teams its frustrating to be dominated by the top 6-8 teams.
Its just his competative edge.

We cant go down the road of Bolton, Blackburn and Wigan or even the scum........we dont have a rich investor to bankroll the debt.

At the same time the club doesnt put huge expectations on Paul Lambert as the bigger clubs do with their managers.

If we get relegated this season I dont think we would dream of sacking Paul.
He did the best with what resources he had.

If he wants bigger resources (but also vastly more pressure for success) , he has to go elsewhere.

Most people feel thats probably going to happen at sometime anyway.

Without a crazy rich owner we have gone about as far as we can go in all reality.
(see my "is this as good as it gets" post when we were 8th)

The teams above us will always be able to afford better quality players.

Pauls interview was more about getting the fans to accept the reality of the situation.

Staying up would be a monumental achievment.

We have basically already defied the bookies/market odds this season and as we know they dont get it wrong too often.
