It is right actually

Though as always with english there is no hard and fast rule

One way (eg St James's Park) is old fashioned and the other way (eg St James' Park) is more modern

But I can't remeber which is which. The fact that I personally favour the single S approach probably means that that is old fashioned but it might not

Fowler sets it all out in Modern English Usage, I think using the St James's Park example, but I can't remember which way round he says is old fashioned

Anyway, either is permissible

And I want an apology in re Jenny
