have you ever listed to the BBC radio4 comedy "our brave boys"?
I think its the best thing Ive ever heard. 5 series, set in the MoD. Like Yes Minister only very very funny. Peter Capaldi has a part in it too..
Check it out. I think it finished 6 years ago but you can find it on the interwebs
