Seriously though, I'm staggered at how badly the Indie have handled it. I've never liked his writing either - neither his style nor some of his positions on certain issues - but he's clearly not too well and in that sense I feel sorry for him.

I guess Hari presses a lot of buttons for me as he came through just when I was becoming aware of "the commentariat" and wanting to break into journalism - I didn't really go for his stuff and wondered how he'd got so far so young.

Then I realised it was due to his school/Oxbridge background and felt differently about it, then all this broke, not long after I'd started breaking into "the commentariat" and I had to rethink again. So I've been a bit obsessed with it!
