Study in mixed emotions

Have never liked Hari, emotionally charged polemicist, and have long suspected him of inventing stuff to make his articles more colourful. So delighted he's been caught.

Feel sorry for him as a person - his use of the sockpuppet must have seemed like a brilliant idea at the time but has backfired so badly on him, he must feel like s**t

On the other hand, his arrogant non-apology has really pissed me off, and the Indie's transparent desire to protect him (or rather, their commercial investment in him) has annoyed me - what happened to the principles on which the Indie was started?

On a yet further hand, most of the people attacking him are horrible rightwing tosspots, and it's irritating that they have good grounds for attacking him because they are so smug
