Scrampton uses it too, he might be able to tell you his experiences of audio conversion

The only other simple advice, is to stick the CD in again, and chose to rip it to mp3

If that's not an option, you could ask itunes make your wav file into and audio cd, and then rip it back

(obviously that will weaken the quality a little)
