Did he play in the centre or out right?
Beckham's a one trick pony (long balls/crosses), although that trick can admittedly crack open defences and potentially be a match winner. Maybe two tricks if one includes free-kicks (& excludes penalties). But he doesn't have great pace, can't tackle and doesn't take on defenders. I can imagine if he's playing in the centre for Real that he gets a lot of protection & backup from Gravesen.
Oh, and Beckham is a grade-A c**t
