Relegation was definitely the best thing to happen to us for many years
We could have probably gambled and thrown a couple of million at the problem and signed the players that would have guaranteed Championship survival for another season. But the club was screwed from the very top downwards, from Munby and Doomcaster to John Hartson and Antoine Sibierski. Even had we survived that season, chances are it would have been a repeat story the next season and probably the season after, without drastic changes being made
Relegation gave us the opportunity to clear the decks and rebuild NCFC from scratch and it has been a joy to watch, and no matter what happens this season I believe the club is in the best hands and has the best squad we have ever had the 15 years I have been going to games.
