Down the years I've watched countless programmes about the '81 series
and none have done it justice. Nor did tonight's, but it occurred to me that you probably CAN'T do it justice. I think you had to be there and experience it in real time, if I can put it that way.
Headingley was the single most remarkable thing that's happened in sport in my lifetime - and I'm not really all that interested in Cricket, never was. Headingley was a fairy tale. Did I ever tell the story about my Dad on that special day? Another time, perhaps.
