we actually started to win games. I will never forget Worthy saying "I don't want players moaning they aren't getting a fair chance" before throwing them both in against Man Utd and expecting us to get a tonking, then we won.

He also played Matthias Jonson on the right wing out of position.

He didn't get the backing to sign Ashton but he did get to bring in these two internationals.

It would have been interesting if we'd stayed up and truly seen the benefit these players could have brought the club.
