bit of art?
tate modern is popular but if i was popping through london for a few days i would definitely go round the national gallery which is free and only really heaving around the van goghs. the courtauld institute is good too, smaller, less busy and free on mondays between 10 and 2
i would normally say go to greenwich, take the boat, see the park and the observatory and maritime museum and some decent pubs, but the park is half shut with olympic work at the moment so it's not quite so appealing. boat trip the other way way up the river towards kew and beyond could be fun too
