Yeah only thing I can think of with the iPad is to

write apps for it which others could pay a quid for and then realise they will hardly use it.

Oh, actually some serious applications for people working out in the field like geologists, archeologists, sports coaches etc. Weather proof case and an instant on device with the potential for 3g data would be perfect.

But not for me. iPhone for mobile data, iMac for the multimedia and serious business, W7 lappie for serious business on the move and mini-laptop for basic documents and browsing / holidays etc.
