If I recall creck he pissed them off in midseason by asking for a move

at the time he said that it wasn't about wanting a transfer, it was about wanting wage parity with other players at the club. The club wouldn't increase his wage to match players of (in his opinion) similar ability and profile. I have no opinion on this.
