However, West Ham stuck with Alan Pardew when the fans wanted him out. I think it's fair to say he's turned them around.
Trouble is, there were such low levels of expectation in our Championship winning season. Then a medium level of expectation that at least we would be able to compete in the Prem. Now that we're back in Div 1, the level of expectation is through the roof. And as we haven't got off to the start that everyone was expecting/demanding it's push the panic button time. Worthy turned us around before, and the board apparently every faith in him that he will do it again. If our fortunes change and we do manage to regain promotion to the Premier League next season, I hope those that persist in calling Worthy a cnut will feel just a little bit ashamed of themselves.
