All I remember of this game

Gibbs linking up well with Cureton and Ched in pass and move triangles. At half time it was 0-0, but we were playing well

Then Gibbs and Huckerby were switched on the wing. And sad to say, Gibbs was obviously marshalling Cotterill well in the first half, because Huckerby just stood on the half way line and let Cotterill scamper down the wing for 45 minutes

It also meant Gibbs went from having a good game, to have just as bad a game as Huckerby was having first half, and was subbed

It was one of the reasons I welcomed the gauntlet being put down to Huckerby to work harder to earn another contract

I remember reports about the last game of the season, about how Huckerby was rolling back the years and it was immense. Yet we lost 4-1

He was a complete luxury at the end, in a team that really needed to dig itself out with graft
