I've been to both - Boston was much better although I didn't stay there -

I stayed in Cambridge and was only there for a weekend following work.
If you are interested in history, Boston is superb.
If you want the nicest city do San Francisco.
Can't comment on high jinx n frolics, I dunt do um.
