What am I missing with all the Holloway blubbing about Blackpool.

Sure they didnt make it but...........

(1) They spent very little money on players getting to the prem and are about to sell a number of players like Adam for huge money making a very nice profit.

(2) They had a wage cap so spent very little of the prem money on wages.

(3) They now have huge Para payments for a club with a small wage bill.

Surely Blackpool are in as good a position as anyone in the champs to make another run at it?
They are now a much more attractive proposition for players to want to go to.

I loved Olly and his attitude but I felt he got increasingly bitter towards the end.
Trying to blame outside things on why his team were relegated.

Maybe the truth is he just didnt find the balance of attacking and defending that you need to be successful.

I think he also moved away from what "got him there"

He started the season with virtually the same team as he had in the champs...... once he moved away from that and a few of the players heads were turned it started to go downhill.

Lessons we can hopefully learn as our squad is in an almost identical position.
