I think it would be an interesting option as long as we dont break the bank in wages, which I dont think we will as we know it would upset the team spirit.

The positives are that he would be a free transfer which negates wages we pay somewhat.

I think he would be an experienced option.
Also think he might be cheaper than we think knowing this might be his last crack at the PL.

Obviously proven at the very highest levels.

Lambert fully understands how he plays and will have no problems with communications.

On the negatives.....

He is getting up there....... but Holtys not far behind.

Not a fan of the foreign players looking for one last big payday.

Bit injury prone.

Might be worth a gamble if the price is right.
Considering we are unlikley to fill the full 25 man roster we have plenty of room for an experienced player to help out.

I think if we signed him early it might also have the effect of encouraging signings from other players who are on the fence.
