There are Blades and Wendies in my office
Blades have been resigned to it for months so the sense of dismay has wained. Now they're just happy to get another derby next season. As far as envy is concerned, I think the balance of power in S Yorks football has been changing gradually for a long while - I don't get the feeling that Barnsley and Donny are perceived as significantly smaller clubs anymore. I mean look at Scunny (technically NE Lincolnshire, but near enough). They're minnows but if I had to money on a team to bounce back next season, I'd put it on them.
It is a real shame though that such a big football-loving city doesn't have a top-flight (let alone Championship) team.
