I think the long term security of the club should be the priority. On the other hand, we aren't going to stay in the PL without spending a lot of money. Is it 40million total or 40 mill on top of what we already spend?
I'd hope the club has at least an outline plan in place along the lines of X for players Y for debts, z for stadium/training facilities
