Average statistics and all that.
Sorry if something similar has been posted before, but hey f**k it... I like to amuse my tidy mind with stats that probably don't mean very much in the overall bearing of this season. Anyhoo, here we goo..
The points average for the Top 3 in the Championship over the past 10 yares are as follows...
1. 95.3
2. 87.4
3. 81.6
In the last 10 yares, the most number of points for the team finishing second was 92 by Leicester in 02/03.
The lowest number of points scored by a team finishing second in the past 10 yares is the 79 by Stoke in 07/08.
This season looks as though teams will require below mean average totals in order to achieve promotion. The suggestion that we need four wins and a draw from our last seven should indeed be enough.
