Ooo please sir, I think I know sir!

I had a long discussion with some nice young men in Bonds the other weekend when I was trying to solve this question for my elderly parents, who want to be able to watch iPlayer on their new telly

Basically what I learned was:

(a) you can connect an internt tv to a wireless network with a dongle, but

(b) if you use a wireless network for internet tv you are likely to get quite a bit of buffering/freezing signal issues, so

(c) you are much better off connecting your TV directly to your wireless router with an ethernet cable.

Since that conversation I have been told by the tech geek consultant at Git Towers that as part of ongoing works they will be converting the electrickery cables into an ethernet network. This works by Magick. So then you don't need to have your router near the TV, you can just plug a Magick Box into a 3 pin socket and into your TV.
