If you look at virtually all these players who have scored goals for fun in LG1 and LG2 in recent years.

How many have been a success after a move to the champs?

The odds are not good..... most have been average at best against better defenders.

Holt may be the most successful and even he has seen a drop off in goals compared to last season.
Just like Super CM.

As an example DJ Campbell was sold for 1.25 million to Balckpool
A player proven at a higher level.

I dont want to slate CMS too much because I trust Lamberts judgement.

He is clearly a good player who I would love to have at NCFC.
He ticks all the boxes with his hunger to move up and his work ethic.

He is clearly a Lambert type player.

I hope a deal can be worked out.

What does worry me slightly is the value of this deal and our ability to make good deals going forward if we do win promotion.

To be totally fair and balanced the board are in a no win situation.

If we splash the cash there are questions from the fans.......

As I said as we move closer to the deadline I expect us to either make a deal or maybe even look elsewhere to make a deal to improve the squad.
