WACCOE to go into administration

We are now in a situation where the cost of the server, ?460 per month, has outstripped income from subscriptions & advertising.

This means we cannot afford to pay next month's server fee unless we accept the very generous offer of personal loans.

Whilst we are extremely grateful to our current advertisers we have not had the uptake that we would have liked and basically we are skint.

I have been waiting for the speed of the site to improve before daring to push for new subscribers and for various reasons this has not happened and therefore the push for more subscribers was not put in place..

However, slow site or not people must decide if they want waccoe to survive and that means by subscribing.

As mentioned, I had hoped to post this at the end of the week when the site may have been performing faster and people may have been more likely to subscribe to pay the server bill.

If you want waccoe to survive then we need you to subscribe and you can do so by clicking the link in my sig.

The contingency if the speed of the site does not improve is to archive a large percentage of the board so that the speed can be improved.

This would be a radical step and we are considering making the archive section to be available to contributors only.

Happy to answer any questions and the bottom line is that waccoe's survival is now down to you
